Hampers Food and Wine Company is now recognised as one of Oxfordshire's foremost delicatessens, and we have had glowing mentions both in the local and national press, as well as BBC radio interviews!
The Guardian
"Britain's Best Roadside Cafes - Worth Pulling over for. Sick of overpriced service stations offering horrible food? Well, here's the answer - 30 great roadside cafes....
Hampers serves lovely light-to-medium-heavy bites, has a fine range of hot and cold drinks, is very family-friendly and, perhaps best of all, has a first-class deli attached, so you can stock up on delicious treats for the rest of your journey along the A44. Come on, can you get roasted onion and garlic chutney for the road in Little Chef? There are various Middle Eastern platters - top-notch falafels, hummus and tabbouleh with salad at £6.25. The ploughman's is top quality. The menu also offers reasonably priced, flexible sharing option, and the sweets are reassuringly comforting."

"The Food Of Life
Hampers Food and Wine Company straddles across two shops, one a contemporary light and airy cafe, the other a well-stocked deli where huge local strawberries and local asparagus beckoned. Inside I found home-made soups (sorrel and summer vegetable on the day in question), a wonderful variety of cheeses, meats and exotic pickles and sauces, olives, nuts, breads, jams, oils and pates. An Aladdin's cave by all accounts. The cafe offered some really original options, finding its own niche with dishes such as a Spanish platter, shared deli-board and cheeseboard - a perfect lunch spot."
